Sometimes you have to take a stand. You have to be willing to hold your ground and not turn back.
Many people give up and turn back for one reason or another and never fulfill their God-given dreams.
I thought it was interesting to learn that the country of Australia displays the kangaroo and the emu on their Coat of Arms as a symbol of moving forward. These animals were chosen because neither animal can walk backwards easily.
I think we all need some reminders in our daily life to keep moving forward, to not give up, don’t look back and refuse to give in.
Here’s one reminder from God’s Word that should encourage you each day.
Philippians 3:13-15 “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
The word of the day is forward. Keep looking forward. Keep moving forward. Don’t look backwards, that’s not the way you’re headed.
You have a bright future. So get your focus on where you are going, not where you’ve been. What do you need to let go of from the past?
