Go the Extra Mile!

Extra MileI was in the grocery store the other day. I asked an employee where a certain item was. He immediately put down what he was doing and said, “Let me show you where that is.” He then proceeded to walk me to the aisle and then found the exact item that I was looking for. I was impressed.

You all can probably relate to how many times you have asked an employee where an item was, and all they did was point to an aisle. You then make your way to the aisle and still can’t find it. Or, when you finally find the right section, there are still so many choices of similar products that it takes “forever” to read through the labels to make sure you have the right product. (Is this only me?)

But how refreshing it is, when someone actually goes the “extra mile.”

Jesus said, in Matthew 5:41 (NIV) “If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.”

Jesus was saying, “Go the extra mile.”

What happens when we go the extra mile? People’s hearts grow tender, the mood of everyone is lifted and hope is renewed. That’s a good day.

The word of the day is extra mile.

Going the extra mile will make your day better, one extra mile at a time.
