Stress-less

stress-lessLet me encourage you today!

In a world today where there is so much stress, you can be stress-less.

I know you have bills to pay, goals to achieve, friends to make happy, a family to provide for, tasks to accomplish, mountains to climb, Kingdoms to conquer, worlds to explore….what a minute, this is how we become stressed out. This is the process of becoming overwhelmed.

Let’s break it down. Oftentimes when you have so much to accomplish, it can be a bit unnerving and we can self-sabotage ourselves.

In these moments, it’s time to make a list. Prioritize that list by things that…

  1. Must be done
  2. Should be done
  3. Could be done.

Then, number your “A. Must be done” by order of importance, 1, 2, 3, etc. Then do the same for your “B. Should be done” and “C. Could be done.”

The truth is, we usually allow things that “C. Could be done” or “B. Should be done” to consume our thought process. Don’t move to B or C until you have accomplished what’s on your A list.

Make the list, prioritize it and then start with the most important. (A. Must be done.) If you are still overwhelmed, it’s time to call in a friend and give you a fresh set of eyes and a different perspective. A friend will usually help you see why your list may be out of order. They can help you re-prioritize and create a strategy that is workable and stress-less.

Check out these verses below.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says that God will “Direct your paths, make your paths straight.”

Psalm 37:23 (KJV) The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

Luke 12:22 (NIV) Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.

It’s clear, God does not want you to worry. He is ordering your every step and He will guide and direct you if you will trust Him.

The word of the day is stress-less.

Now that’s better.
