Less is More!

less is moreLess is more.

What does this actually mean? Oftentimes we spend so much time doing things, but rarely getting things done. Our focus on too many things in life, reduces our effectiveness in the things that matter most.

Today’s word is less is more.

We need to focus on being productive, not just active.

Just because someone is busy does not mean that they are actually productive.

Our lives are busy, no doubt. Between taking the kids to school, working, cooking dinner, picking the kids up from school, working out, grocery shopping, taking the kids to dance and soccer practice, paying the bills, and all the rest. Life is busy and filled with many activities and responsibilities. It’s enough to drive you crazy!

I think we have bogged down ourselves with so many activities that we have become unproductive at anything. When people or businesses try to do too many things at once, they usually don’t do anything really well.

Have you ever gone into a restaurant and opened up a menu and it has what seems like 4000 items in every style and flavor. That’s when I know they are probably not very good at anything.

The restaurants that set themselves apart are the ones that have simplified their menus and have become experts in one thing.

People are not much different. Families are not much different.

Parents, don’t stress your kids out by trying to make them over achieve in areas where you feel inadequate. Don’t feel responsible to sign them up for every activity that they have a friend involved in. Learn to help counsel and guide your children to a balanced lifestyle.

You don’t find time for priorities, you make time.

Colossians 1:10 (NLT) Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
