A Letter To Mom

Mother’s Day 2015

Although one day and one letter could never convey the honor and love you deserve, we wanted to use this time to say, “Thank you Mom” and to let you know that you are special to us, not just on this Mother’s Day, but every day of the year. It’s our small way of giving something back to you, as you have given so much to us.

Whether you carried us in your womb, adopted us, or willingly took us into your family, you loved us unconditionally, showing us how to love others and to love them well.

You have offered grace when it was not deserved, forgiveness when it was not earned, wisdom when it was not appreciated and comfort through the hurts and struggles of life.

You supported, encouraged and prayed for us when anyone else would have given up and walked away.

You made us laugh though you needed to cry, you provided strength though you felt weak and you always remained our biggest fan no matter how many times we may have failed.

You have picked up broken hearts, held them in your hands and tenderly put them back together again.

You have protected, endured and sacrificed in order to give us a better life.

Your comfort has been compared with the comfort that God provides for His children.

Isaiah 66:13 As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you.”

We have leaned on you to find balance in our life, looked to you for the calming of our soul and found support from you in our darkest hour.

As a mother, a woman and a child of God, there is no equal or comparison…you stand alone.

Thank you for all the sleepless nights you held me, all the days you believed in me and all the times you were there.

You walk in strength, beauty and class…you are an amazing gift of God!

So on this special day and every day of the year…thank you mom, just for being you!
