I read a survey that said, 90% of accidents on staircases involved either the top or the bottom stair. This information was fed into a computer to find out how stairway accidents could be reduced. The computer’s answer: “Remove the top and bottom stairs.”
I feel like that is the way we try to deal with most of our problems today. Rather than dealing with the problem, which is in our heart and in our mind. We try to just remove temptations and obstacles from our pathway.
Most importantly God wants to make us new. Born again. He wants us to start over with a brand new life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
Listen, when you accept Christ and are born again, everything changes. The old is gone and the new has come. You don’t have to just try avoid doing something wrong in order to be victorious. You are new, different, changed and free to live differently than you did before.
The word of the day is changed. You are not the same any more.
