21 Days of Thanksgiving- Day 13

Some of you may have been wondering where Day 13 was. Well, here it is. Guess what? Tomorrow we’ll be back on track with Day 15. Ha!

Do you ever get stressed out? Bills to pay, kids to raise, spouses to fix, (what?) work load, presidential elections, national debt and your personal economy? Sure you do. If you weren’t before, you are now, right? We all get a little stressed out at some point and to some degree.

Did you know that giving thanks is a great way to relax? Yes, you can try breathing techniques and you can even drink some hot tea? But then you’ll have to go to the bathroom. Just sayin’.

But gratitude can help you relax and find peace even in the most challenging circumstances.

It will allow you to tap into positive emotions that will counteract against the emotions of stress.

Stress makes you believe that everything has to happen right now. Faith reassures you that everything will happen in God’s timing.

Giving thanks is an act of faith in God that He is in control.

Today’s Scripture: Hebrews 13:15 (NLT) “Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name.

Take a moment and give thanks to God and proclaim your allegiance to His name. Proclaim your trust in Him and your dependency upon His sovereignty in your life.

Today’s Challenge: Thank a policeman. Take the time to go out of your way and thank an officer of the law for his willingness to serve your community.

Stay Thankful,

Kendall Bridges
