Roar like a lion!

courage 6

Courage is the Word of The Day.

Speak this word over yourself and your family today.

My wife has a little 7lb Yorkshire Terrier that acts like a mountain lion. He’s never met a dog that he didn’t think he could destroy. There have been times when he has gone after dogs that could swallow him in one bite. Thankfully these dogs he attacked didn’t seem to even be bothered at this little munchkin barking and sniffing and marking his territory. (It’s the only reason he is still alive)

But his courage amazes me. Sometimes I think it’s just stupidity. But there are times that courage looks like stupidity to others. I think of great movies like Gladiator, Braveheart, The Patriot, Schindler’s list, are all examples of courage that could appear foolish from another’s perspective.

I have found that it takes great courage to lead a happy life. I have enjoyed skydiving, bungee jumping, snowboarding, climbing Colorado Mountains, hiking the Grand Canyon, riding Harley’s. But it takes more courage to just do what is right on a day to day basis, than it does to jump out of an airplane.

It takes courage to admit mistakes, and most all mistakes can be forgiven, if you have the courage to admit them.

It takes courage to get up and try again, once you have failed. Courage is not determined by those who never fall. But by those who fall and get up again. Courage doesn’t always roar like a lion, sometimes it just quietly gets back up and tries again.

Sometimes the first step to realizing your dream is finding the courage to defeat your nightmares.

Courage doesn’t mean you don’t get afraid. Courage means you don’t let fear stop you.” Bethany Hamilton.

Check out this verse of scripture and realize that there is a lion within you ready to roar and ready to take on your fears. You have nothing to be afraid of because God Almighty is on your side.

Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Stay Courageous, Stay Free,
