It’s been only one day since the election of the 45th President of the United States. The President-elect is calling for unity. The candidate that was not elected, is calling for unity. The current President of the United States is calling for unity. I think we should do whatever is necessary to come together and be unified. Do I believe this will happen today? No. Tomorrow? No. But, I pray that it will happen. So, it must begin with us.
The word of the day is Unity. I still see with my eyes, division. I still hear with my ears, division. I still feel in the room, division. I still know that behind the smiles and the kind words, is this spirit of division. But, I call forth unity. I speak unity in my life, in my family, and in my circle of influence. And I pray that you will do the same.
There are still more things in our country that unite us, than do not. Let’s find the many things that we do have in common and focus on them, rather than the few things that we may disagree on.
1 Corinthians 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.
