Smile a While!

Kanon smileSmile is the word of the day.

When I was about fifteen I had to have a tooth removed to allow another tooth room to come in. The bottom line was I had a big gap in my teeth. I didn’t look quite like a hockey player, but I was self-conscious enough about it to keep me from smiling for a while. I remember being so upset because I felt like my smile had been taken from me. It took a while but I finally got my smile back.

My wife Starla, has a beautiful smile. When she smiles, she lights up a room. Her smile is genuine and beautiful. I love to see her smile.

Smiles are powerful. Smiles cause reaction. Smiles are contagious. Smiles change the way you feel about yourself and others. Smiles start a domino effect of goodness and simply make things better.

Wear a smile today, it doesn’t cost a thing.

You may think, “I don’t have a reason to smile.” Hey, when life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile. A smile today says that you are a lot stronger than you were yesterday.

Check out these two verses on smiling.

Proverbs 15:13 “A happy heart makes the face cheerful,”

Proverbs 15:30 “A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.”

Check this out. The first verse Pr.15:13 says if you’re happy inside, you’ll show it on the outside.

The next verse Pr.15:30 says, if you smile on the outside, it changes the inside.

Smiling is just good for you and for those around you.

So be intentional about smiling today especially to those you love the most.

It will make things better.

Numbers 6:25 May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you (SMILE) and give you great, great peace. (Paraphrased, of course)
