I have a friend who is a heart surgeon, named Michael. He is a great heart surgeon and a great friend. We were having breakfast with some other guys recently, before Michael was heading off to a very “serious” surgery. (Of course, I’m pretty sure everyone who is on his operating table feels their surgery is “serious.”) And it is. However, this one was going to be a little more difficult and that’s why he asked us to cover him in prayer, because someone’s heart was going to be in his hands. After we prayed, I looked at the other guys and I asked them, “Whose heart is in your hands?” Every one of us will have an effect on someone today. Someone will trust us for guidance, wisdom, experience, expertise and support. Someone will leave their heart in your hands. You will be responsible for their direction, their success and their betterment. I pray for you today to handle their heart well. Handle it with care. Handle it with wisdom and the grace that God has handled you with. Handle them with the comfort that you have received from God. Handle with Care. The word of the day is Handle with Care.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
