I still remember the day when one of my dear friends and ministry leaders at church asked to meet with me at Starbucks. Through tears he offered a letter of resignation asked to resign from all of his ministry positions at church. He felt as if God had failed him. He believed he had done everything right and still his children were not serving God.
I pushed his letter of resignation back across that table and said, God has not failed you and you have not failed God. This battle is not over. Let’s keep fighting. That’s exactly what we are still doing today.
Maybe you felt like you did everything right and yet still…
… you lost your marriage.
… your son or daughter is not serving God.
… you lost your job.
… you received a bad doctors report.
… you were abused
… you were neglected
… you were hurt.
… you were betrayed.
The word of the day is fight. Don’t fight against the ones you love. Fight the enemy who has come to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10)
1 Timothy 6:12 (NIV) says, “Fight the good fight of the faith.”
Fight the good fight of the faith. You know why it’s called the good fight don’t know? Because we win.
Speak this word over your life today. Choose to fight for your dreams. Fight for your family. Fight for all that God has promised you.
Fight for a life that is better.
