No doubt, you have had to be a little more intentional about being thankful. You have probably had to go out of your way at least a little to fulfill the challenges of the last four days. But giving thanks is an attitude first and an action second. Pray today that God would help you establish the attitude of gratitude. If you have the right attitude, the right actions will follow.
Today’s Scripture: Psalm 100:4 “Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
Notice the four different levels of giving thanks in this verse.
- …Enter His gates with Thanksgiving– Thank Him for what He has done.
- …His courts with Praise– Stand and praise Him for who He is.
- …Give Thanks to Him– Raise your hands in surrender.
- …Bless His name– Kneel in reverence and bless (worship) His name.
Today’s Challenge: Take a moment and thank your parents for the investment they have made in your life. If your parents are not with you anymore, then find a mentor or a senior and express gratitude for their investment in your generation or in your life.
Expressing thanks will cause you to feel better about yourself and better about your life.
Get busy. Get thankful.
