Decision and Desire!

decision-makingAs I was driving recently, I slowed down to wait for an 18-wheeler truck to pull out in front of me. I waited as it slowly made its way in the same direction I was going. As I pulled up behind the big truck and trailer, I noticed a sign on the back that caught my attention. It said… “Don’t like trucks? Stop buying stuff.” I laughed, as I realized that the frustration many people have with big trucks is due to the fact that they are delivering the merchandise that we all purchase. So it is in life. We complain about weight, but we are the ones eating the way we do. We complain about being out of shape, but we are the ones not exercising. We complain about not having friends, but we are the ones not being friendly. We complain about our work load, but we are the ones that keep allowing it to happen.

So many problems that we have in life are self-inflicted. Refuse to be a victim to self-inflicted wounds. Refuse to believe the lie, “I can’t.” When you say, “I can’t,” you are really saying, “I don’t know how yet.”

Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

All things are possible. You can break this pattern of frustration in your life. You need two things, a decision and a desire. You need a strong decision to change. Tell someone and be held accountable. You also need a strong desire to pay whatever the price to make it stick.

The word of the day is decision and desire. Work decision and desire together and make your life better today.
