It was the best “yes” I had ever heard.
It was the day when I asked Starla to marry me and she said “yes.” I know I caught her at a weak moment. She had no idea what she was getting into. But nevertheless, she said “yes.” That was over 33 years ago. And I am so glad she said, “Yes.”
The word of the day is “Yes.”
2 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.”
What does that mean? It simply means that the Promises of God for your life have been paid for by Jesus Christ. (He said, yes) Therefore, all we have to do is agree and receive the great blessings that God has for you.
Jesus Christ says “yes” to the promises of God, then we say “yes” or “amen” to them as well. By doing so we can access God’s promises.
Let me give you three promises to think about today.
- Psalm 23:4 “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.”
- Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
- Philippians 4:19 “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
Jesus has already said “yes” to these promises, now all you have to do is agree and receive them.
By saying “yes” to the promises of God, I promise your life will be better.
