I recently attended a banquet for the Dallas Teen/Life Challenge Graduates. We’ve had the privilege to host the event at our church for at least the last seven years. Paul and Linda Ecker have been directors of this ministry for 35 years. It is a ministry devoted to helping men find freedom from strongholds and addiction. At the banquet you are able to hear from men of all walks of life, who have one thing in common, they once were lost, but now they are found. They once caved under the pressure of addiction, but now rise above these struggles to live victoriously for Jesus Christ. It is an honor to support such a worthy ministry.
During the banquet a student of the program was giving his testimony. He said, that he had to hit ‘rock bottom,’ to realize that Jesus was His, ‘Rock at the bottom.’
I want to encourage you today. You may have hit rock bottom in your life. Maybe you have hit bottom in your relationships, finances, health or even your walk with God. The good news is; that Jesus is your rock at the bottom. He is the one you can turn to, no matter what the problem is. Just give it to Jesus. Surrender to Him and He will take care of you.
The word of the day is Rock.
Psalm 18:2 “The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
Jesus is your Rock. “On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.” Trust Him today.
