Simplify is the word of the day.
Do you hate clutter? Does it bother you or stress you out?
Romans 12:8 says, “He who contributes, let him do it in simplicity.”
“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak. –Hans Hoffman
Four Ways to Simplify:
- Eliminate clutter on your calendar. Quit trying to do too many things at one time. It’s okay to say, “No.”
- Ten minute bursts of de-cluttering. Sometimes we are so overwhelmed at a task, that we become paralyzed. Just schedule ten minute segments to de-clutter. Get the trash can out and start throwing things away. Make a list of all you need to do and start going down the list, one at a time.
- Go paperless. Put information on documents. Put business cards on a document and save it on the computer. It will take so much less room and de-clutter your life.
- Comb through the closet. I know you think those close are coming back min style. BUT THEY’RE NOT! And even if they do, they will have a slight variation that will still make your clothes out of style. So get rid of them. I know you think, I’m going to fit back in these one day. But here’s my way of thinking. If I lose enough weight to get back into some old clothes, then I am going to reward myself with new clothes. So out with old, in with the new.
Simplify your life today.
