Humility is one of the most awesome qualities on any person.
That’s why it’s the word of the day. Speak it over your life, family and marriage today. Determine to walk in humility. Keep an open mind and remember that true humility is staying teachable regardless of how much you already know.
Mother Teresa said, “If you are humble, nothing will touch you, neither praise nor disgrace, because you know what you are.”
Humility is simply, “not taking yourself too seriously.”
It’s a powerful tool to use when others intentionally or unintentionally make fun of you or have a laugh at your expense. True humility, doesn’t take it personally, but instead laughs with everyone else. It’s amazing how much more you can enjoy life when you don’t get so uptight about everything in life.
Often times when you are drawn to a person. You may not even know why you like them so much. But most of the time if you will examine why you are drawn to them, you will discover it is because of their humility.
C.S. Lewis said, “Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.”
Quit making everything about you.
Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,”
It takes humility to put others above yourself. But only when you can do this will you truly experience the greatness that God has in store for you.
