Flexibility is the word for today. I want you to speak this word over your life, family and business today.
Rarely do our plans go exactly as planned. Therefore, we have to be flexible.
How many times have you…
- Had a flat tire?
- Your car battery is dead?
- Worse yet, you have a car wreck?
- It rains on your outdoor plans?
- You come down with a cold?
- Someone else took your idea?
I think you get the picture.
Stay committed to your goals, but be flexible in your approach. You will find real happiness when you are flexible enough to adapt to any circumstance.
I think this is what the Apostle Paul meant when he said,
Philippians 4:11-13 (NIV) 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content (flexible) whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content (flexible) in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Some people think they are flexible and live by the motto, “As long as everything is exactly as I want it, I am totally flexible.” You’ll never be happy this way.
Just remember if plan A doesn’t work, there are 25 more letters in the alphabet. You see, winners realize there is more than one way to accomplish a goal.
