Faithfulness is the word of the day. I want you to speak this word over your life, marriage and family today.
Proverbs 3:3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
We are made in the image of God. God is faithful, so we are faithful. We are called to be followers of Christ. God hasn’t called us to be successful, but to be faithful.
“Great is thy faithfulness” is one of those old great hymns that has survived the times and still remains a constant in our lives. Its message is the foundation that we all need for our daily lives.
Chorus:
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee,
Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not,
As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.
God is forever faithful. So we strive to be as well. When our obedience connects with God’s faithfulness, then great things happen. In the same way, when our faithfulness connects with those that we love, great things happen in our lives and in our families.
Don’t take shortcuts and live half-truths. (That’s also called a lie) Live a faithful life and allow God’s blessings to be attached to all you do.
Choose to be faithful in your words. Let your yes be yes, and your no be no. Choose to be faithful at work. Give your co-workers the confidence that they can trust you, and what you say, no matter what. Choose to be faithful to your family. Give your family the courage to believe in you because you keep your word and you come home every day a faithful parent and a faithful spouse.
Stay faithful my friend.
