Four Keys to Staying Positive in a Negative World
- What you believe.
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Positive thinking has to be based on a real and true belief system. Otherwise, you are just going through the motions. Do you really believe that good is in the world? Do you really believe that good opportunities will come your way? Do you really believe that God has your best interest in mind? Do you really believe 1 John 4:4 “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world?”
- What you say.
Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue has the power of life and death,”
It is important that you speak positively. I know at times you feel negatively, but you still have the ability to put positive words in your mouth and speak your way out of negativity and into a brighter future. If our words truly have the power of life and death, then we can speak life or death into our world. It’s a choice.
- What you do.
Proverbs 20:11 “Even small children are known by their actions.”
We are known by our actions. It doesn’t do you any good if you speak positively, but follow through with negative actions. It is important that we do positive things each day to reinforce what we believe and what we are saying. In doing this you will create a positive environment for yourself.
- Being resilient.
Luke 18:1 “Always pray and never give up.”
Successful people all have this one common attribute. They never give up. We may get knocked down, but we will get back up and keep trying.
Proverbs 24:16 “The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.”
