Can I Trust You?

trustTrust is the word I want you to speak over life today.

Are you a person who trust’s easy? Most of the time our ability to trust or to be trusted has been developed over the years by how our trust has been treated.

If your trust has been broken a few times, then you are probably less likely to trust again.

You may even doubt if you can ever trust again. You may have decided, you don’t need to ever trust in order to move forward. But trust is necessary to have quality relationships. Yes, even if it puts you in a vulnerable place again. You can choose to live in loneliness or trust again and experience the joys of new relationships. I realize that trust takes years to build, seconds to break and forever to repair. It’s not an easy road.

I have broken the trust of my wife before and it’s not easy rebuilding that trust. I have broken the trust of friends and family. It takes a long time to rebuild that trust and sometimes it never happens. But a restored trust and a restored relationship is attainable if a proper foundation is rebuilt.

When you fully trust a person without any doubt, you get one of two things… a friend for life or a lesson for life. Make sure you are becoming one’s friend for life. Don’t make people regret that they trusted you. It’s not an easy thing to give and even harder to give again.

Never lie to someone who trusts you and never trust someone who lies to you. To be trusted is better than to be loved. Because you may not always trust the person you love, but you can always love the person you trust.

It’s hard to trust someone once they have given you a reason not to trust them. That’s why it’s important to guard your trust relationship with everyone. Let your yes be yes, and your no be no.

Trust is a lot like a melted bar of chocolate, or a crumpled piece of paper, once melted or crumpled, it’s almost impossible for it to return to its original shape. That’s why guarding trust is so important.

Be careful who you trust. If someone discusses others with you, they will probably discuss you with others.

The Bible doesn’t teach us to figure life out, but to trust God, He’s already got it figured out.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Only in trusting God can we find the ability to trust others.

Keep trusting.
