God demonstrates His Love…we should as well!

Love in sandLOVE is the word I want you to speak over your self, your marriage and your life today.

  • Do you want to have a better marriage?
  • Do you want to have a better life?
  • Do you want to have a better future?

Then speak the right words. The words you speak have the power of life and death.(Proverbs 18:21)

How many times in our anger or frustration have we said something that we may have felt at the time, but we really didn’t mean? Have you ever said, “I hate you?” Have you ever said, “I wish we never would have married.” Have you ever said, “We should just get a divorce.” These are not words of love.

Most of the time, we wish we could get those words back. But words can only be forgiven, not forgotten. Therefore, we must be careful about the words we speak. We must be intentional about every word that we speak.

If you really want to make a difference in your marriage, never speak the words that hurt and hinder. Instead speak words that help and heal. Our words become the building blocks for a strong foundation.

Choose to love. Say, “I love you,” even if you’ve said it already today. You can never say that enough. Choose to say, “you are amazing.” Choose words of life and love.

Below are two great scriptures that demonstrate the love that God has for us. Both demonstrate sacrificial giving.

Romans 5:8 (NIV) “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 3:16 (NIV) – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
The love of God demands action. His love demands sacrifice.
What could you do today to demonstrate sacrificial giving for your spouse? What could you do today to demonstrate “love”?
The word of the day is demonstrate. This means to put your thoughts , feelings and beliefs into action.
Choose one thing that you don’t ordinarily do and put your love in action.
