That’s right, Thank God It’s Monday.
I know most people hate Monday. Friday is the day we “Thank God” for. Friday is the end of the work week and the beginning of a weekend. We are able to leave the pressure of work behind for a couple of days and just relax, play golf, work in the yard, or go to the movies.
Why TGIM? Because it gives us the opportunity to take what we have learned at church on Sunday and put it in to practice on the job. Today we have an opportunity to express some of that love, mercy, forgiveness, compassion and hope that we believe in so dearly. In fact, ask God today to allow you to see people the way he sees them. Remember the verse below?
Matthew 9:36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Ask God to allow you to see people in a compassionate way. Then, be bold enough to allow God to work through you to be there for someone who needs you today.
It’s not really hard to recognize someone who is burdened, frustrated, hurt, unhappy or despairing. When you see them, offer them words of encouragement. If the opportunity allows, pray for them, or at least let them know you will be praying for them.
This is going to be an awesome day!
The word of the day is T.G.I.M.
