People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.
Phil 2:20-21 NLT I have no one else like Timothy, who genuinely cares about your welfare. 21 All the others care only for themselves and not for what matters to Jesus Christ.
Did you know that the way we treat each other really matters to Christ?
In fact, the way we treat each other shows your true spiritual depth.
Have you ever known someone who put on a good show at church? They sang the loudest and prayed the loudest. They appeared to be very spiritual. They were very visible at church. But they treated the waitress at the restaurant like a dog. They were rude to the lady at the grocery store checkout. They honk their horn at you in traffic when there is a line of 100 cars in front of you. (They’re the ones with the fish on their car. frustrating!)
On behalf of the people doing our best to follow in the footsteps of Christ, I apologize to all the people who have been offended by the jerks who call themselves Christians, but don’t have the decency to treat all people kindly. Whether it’s your Facebook rant, or your actions in person, we are called to genuinely care about people. How can you do that when you are constantly berating others?
The fact is, we should show people how much we care, before we tell them how much we care. Then you will have an audience.
The word of the day is care.
Be kind to one another today!
