Make Time, Not Excuses!

Make time, or make excuses!

It seems to me that when people really want to do something they will make the time and pay the price, to make sure that it gets done. If they do not want to do something, they will spend just as much time making excuses.

I’ve heard some crazy excuses for why people can’t go to church,

  • I gave blood yesterday and they ran out of cookies, so I’m mad at God.
  • The version of the Bible on the projector and the one I read are different.
  • My good church T-shirt was dirty.
  • I hear people preach on Facebook all week.
  • The Pastor preaches from The Message Bible.
  • The PowerPoint guy can’t keep up.
  • I already asked Jesus in my heart; what else do you want?
  • Jesus never went to church.
  • They never sing my jams during worship.
  • One word….NASCAR!
  • Pastor be spitting on everyone in the first ten rows.
  • I’ve already skipped to the end of the Bible, and so I know how it ends.
  • Pastor always uses me as a bad example.

Here’s the word of the day, Make time, not excuses. Whatever it is that God is wanting you to do, just do it. Quit making excuses and start making time for the things that will really make a difference in someone’s life.

Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
