There is a story told about a father from Spain who had a teenage son. They had strained relationship, so much so that the young man finally ran away from home. Immediately the father began a journey across Spain in search of his rebellious young son. Finally after months and months of searching, he arrived in Madrid. In a last desperate effort to find his son, the father went down to the newspaper office and put an ad in the newspaper. It simply said…
Dear Paco, meet me in front of the newspaper office at noon. All is forgiven.
I love you.
Your Father.
The next day at noon in front of the newspaper office, 800 Paco’s showed up seeking forgiveness.
Paco was ready to come home. He’s just didn’t know that he could.
The word of the day is ready. What are you ready for? Are you ready for change? Are you ready for a new job, promotion, blessing or increase?
It’s not enough to just be ready. Now you have to go after it.
1 Peter 3:15 “Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.”
The word of the day is ready. Be ready for the blessings that God wants to send your way. Talk the talk and walk the walk. Be ready. God is.
