A 12 year old boy who was born without an immune system, underwent a bone marrow transplant in order to correct the deficiency. Up to that point he had spent his entire life in a plastic bubble in order to prevent exposure to common germs, bacteria, and viruses that could kill him. He lived without ever knowing human contact. When asked what he’d like to do if and when released from his protective bubble, he replied, “I want to walk barefoot on grass, and touch my mother’s hand.”
The word of the day is priority.
There are many things that we may not recognize as a priority in our lives, until we don’t have them.
I want to encourage you today to take notice of the little things that you may take for granted. Like the old song said, “You’ve got to stop and smell the roses. Count your many blessings every day.”
Luke 12:34 (ESV) “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
Declare today that you will make the little things a priority. I’m talking about the things that so easily get overlooked. Focus on them and be thankful for them. It will make your life better today.
