Recently, I pulled my iPhone out of my pocket, pushed the bottom button, swiped the screen to the right, entered my security code, located my camera, pressed it and begin to take the picture of what I was looking at.
One of my kids came up to me and said, “Dad, you can just swipe your screen upwards one time and your camera will appear.” Really? I responded. “I didn’t know that!”
Improvement is the word of the day. There are always better ways to do things. Of course in this age of new technology, I am always getting schooled by my kids.
Do you remember the story in Exodus when Moses was schooled by his Father-in-law?
Exodus 18:17 “…Moses’ Father-in-law said to him, “The thing that you are doing is not good.”
Moses’ Father-in-law saw a better way for Moses to manage and minister to the people of Israel.
Moses had to be open to improvement. You and I have to be open to improvement as well, if we want to continue to be effective and productive in whatever we do.
Times change. Seasons change. There are always new methods and new ways of doing things. Stay open to change.
Take some time and evaluate your routine, schedule and time consuming activities. Ask someone to evaluate with you, if there is a better way to function. There is always room for improvement.
