Be A Great Worshipper!

I love to worship my Lord Jesus. I love to sing His praises. I love it when I have the opportunity to sing and worship along with my brothers and sisters in the Lord. But I often get a little perplexed to see how some enter into worship and others do not. I realize that our personalities have some effect on our demonstration of worship. But I also realize that there is another determining factor, as to what makes a great worshipper.

Do you remember the story when Jesus was eating at Simon’s house and Simon was appalled that a woman who had been a prostitute was pouring perfume on the feet of Jesus.

The Pharisee said… Luke 7:39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”

Then, Jesus said, in Luke 7:47 “Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”

In other words, the person who realizes that they have been forgiven much will worship much. A great worshipper is made of a person who recognizes they have been forgiven a debt of sin, that they were unable to pay. The next time you make the time to worship, remind yourself of the great debt of sin that you have been forgiven. It will create a spirit of gratitude that is necessary for genuine worship.

The word of the day is Great Worship. Be a great worshipper today.
