Did you know that God has a tattoo of you? That’s right! You may ask, when did God get a tattoo of me and how did I not know this?
The Bible says, in Isaiah 49:15-16 (LB) “Can a mother forget her little child and not have love for her own son? Yet even if that should be, I will not forget you. 16 See, I have tattooed your name upon my palm,”
When did God get a tattoo of you? On the cross, with nail-pierced hands and outstretched arms, Jesus said, “I love you, enough to die for you.”
Often times when we experience loss in life, we feel forgotten or abandoned.
However, it is impossible for God to forget you, reject you or abandon you. He has you forever imprinted on the palms of His hands. The scars from His sacrifice on the cross are constant reminders of how much He loves you. Let them be a constant reminder to us of how much God loves you and me.
The word of the day is reminder. Let His scars be a reminder of His love for you today.
