Everyone experiences pain in life. Pain comes in different ways to different people. But we all experience pain, loss and heartache. Can we turn our pain into gain? Yes. Read this verse below.
2 Corinthians 12:7, 10 (NLT) So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh…(pain) 10. For when I am weak, (in pain) then I am strong.
How do we become stronger in our pain and in our difficulties? Because in our pain, is when we cry out to God desperately. We find God differently. We seek God at a completely different level.
Three times Paul prayed for God to remove his thorn in the flesh. (Pain)
But God said, “No.” However, God did say, His grace was all that was needed in order for him to get through. You must believe that God will always give you the grace to get through anything that you are facing. He may not always remove the pain. But He will give you the grace to turn your pain into gain.
I remember when the doctors diagnosed me with a tumor inside my spinal column. The prognosis was not good. However, the crisis caused me to dig deep into God’s word regarding healing. Not only did I become even more concretely convinced that God can and will heal, I also became a recipient of His healing touch.
The word of the day is gain. Turn your pain into gain today.
