When my sons were young, they would jump off of things into my arms. (furniture, stairs, trees, forts and swing sets) Pretty much anything they could climb on, they would jump off of. I can remember one of them calling my name, and then jumping as I turned around. They had complete trust in their Dad to catch them. We need to have the same trust in God to catch us.
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fallen…”
We all have fallen from time to time. We have all made mistakes. We have all missed the mark on occasion. But the good news is, God is always there to catch us. The Bible says in Psalm 91, “God will give His angels charge over us to catch us…” God is always there to catch us when we fall. God loves to heal, restore, renew, repair and give everyone another chance to start over again. God loves the underdog. He loves the one who others have given up on. He loves to raise people up from the ashes of destruction and breathe new life into broken dreams and shattered lives. He loves to renew hope and allow people to believe again and live again.
The word of the day is jump. Go ahead and jump into the arms of Jesus. He will always be there for you.
