The word of the day is extraordinary.
There are so many things that make humans extraordinary. There are countless wonders of life that make each day extraordinary. People, places, things, thoughts, ideas and imaginations all collide to make life itself extraordinary.
But the people whom God has placed in our lives as family are the most extraordinary.
I love my family. I love my wife, our children and grandchildren. They make life extraordinary for me.
So how do we cultivate the extraordinary? We do so, by first embracing, recognizing and appreciating the ordinary.
Learn to appreciate the ordinary in our lives. Find the wonder of a sunrise and sunset. Find imagination in the clouds above. Find ideas in discovering what makes others happy and content. Find pleasure in the little things of life; a cool breeze, the warmth of a fire, the refreshing of a cold drink, the comfort of a hug, and the safety of your home, the beauty of love, the marvel of forgiveness and the awesomeness of our God.
Make the ordinary come alive and the when you do this, the extraordinary will take care of itself.
Psalms 68:35 says, “O God, You are awesome…”
That’s enough. That’s all. O God, You are awesome.
Take time today, to speak this word over your life, family and marriage. You will begin to realize that life is not so boring after all. In fact, it’s extraordinary.
