Happy Anniversary Starla!

Today we celebrate 35 years of marriage. I wish I could say that I have lived up to the vows that I made on this day 35 years ago. But I haven’t. I wish I could say that I have always shown you the love, that you so rightfully deserve. But I haven’t. I wish I could say, that I have always been there for you. But I haven’t. I wish I could say, that I have always been the man of God that you deserve. But I haven’t. I have missed the mark. I have fallen short. But we do have a better marriage now, than we ever have. God has taken two imperfect people and created something better, than either one of us could have ever been on our own.

You received me when I should have been rejected and you honored me even when I was dishonorable. Because of you I am better. Because of you, we are better. Because of you, our kids are better. Life is better, because of you.

I love you baby and I am so proud of you and the woman of God that you are. Thanks for marrying me 35 years ago.
