Today, my youngest daughter, Hunter Sky walks the aisle and commits herself in Holy Matrimony to Aaron Lee Cook.
I could not be more proud of the woman that she has become. Her heart for God is obvious. Her passion for life is undeniable. Her love for others is infectious. I am also extremely proud of the man she has chosen to marry. He has a man of God and I know He will take good care of my baby girl. Aaron is patient, caring, thoughtful and desires the Word of God to be His guiding light through life.
I remember Hunter giving up her 10th birthday party and chose instead of receiving gifts, to go and feed the homeless. So that is exactly what we did. She will always fight for the underdog and fight for injustice.
Hunter you have always made me laugh, hope, believe and dream. I love you more than you could ever imagine.
For the past 23 years, I have been the provider, protector and covering for you. Today, I give that responsibility to Aaron. (Although I will always be close by. Ha!)
I speak favor and blessing over your new lives together. I declare that the foundation that you have built upon Jesus Christ will sustain you for all your days.
May you have a great spiritual purpose in life as you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and the other things you need will be added to you.
May you not expect perfection of each other, that belongs to God alone.
May you never take each other’s love for granted. But, guard one another’s hearts with your life.
May you rest in the knowledge that no matter what happens, by holding onto God and each other, things will work out for the best.
May you keep the torch of love burning with the fire that you now share in your hearts.
May you always speak with kindness in your words, be considerate of feelings, and concerned for each other’s needs and wishes.
May you be understanding and forgiving, patient and loving, strong and tender.
May your marriage be blessed with peace and happiness as the grace and goodness of God rests upon you.
My prayer for you is found in Philippians 1:9-10 “And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.”
I love you Hunter Sky and Aaron Lee,
Daddy (Pops)
