Decision Day!

decision-dayThis is it. This is the day, the week, the hour, the moment. A decision has to be made. After many weeks of consideration, here we are. It’s down to two candidates. Both are formidable. Both are talented. One has been on the scene a long time. The other has been on the scene only a short time. But a decision has to be made. Who is going to be our new leader? Will it be the old or the new? The veteran or the rookie? Will it be… Dak Prescott or Tony Romo?

Wait a minute? Did you think I was talking about the President of the United States? Down here in Dallas Texas, there are a few things that are more important than even the Oval office. Or at least, we act like it is.

The truth is, you do have an important decision to make today. It is election day in America. Millions of people will cast their vote and elect a new leader for our country.

But what do you do when you are not comfortable with either candidate? You have to look beyond the top of the ticket and look down the ticket at other candidates that may qualify or disqualify your decision. You look at the party platforms that each candidate is running on. It is a very clear and distinctive difference between the two platforms that are being offered to the American people. You must consider issues such as supporting abortion or supporting life. Supporting traditional marriage or supporting the redefinition of marriage. You must consider Supreme Court nominees that will uphold the constitution or Justices that will defend interest groups. Who supports Israel? Who will defend religious liberty and freedom? Who will defend our constitutional rights?

But, what about the economy?

Psalm 37:25 says, “I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.”

I’ll take my chances fighting for moral choices before financial gain any day. God has promised me, that He will take care of my needs.

Go Cowboys! Go America!
