Today Starla and I have been married for 34 years. Four children later, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, 6 grandchildren and one more due any day, it has been a wild ride.
Our life has been filled with ups and downs, victories and failures and many unforgettable moments.
Unique discoveries, fascinating finds, hidden treasures and rare fortunes all have two things in common. Until discovered or revealed no one knows the true value and beauty. Once revealed no one will ever be the same. Every now and then you come across someone who just blows you away. You discover uniqueness, quality, originality, passion, purpose and strength that sets this person apart from everyone else. Until you meet them you have no idea of their value and beauty. Once you meet them you will never be the same. That’s the way I feel about my beautiful wife, Starla. She is truly a one of a kind and I am so thankful to God for her. She has walked with me through the highs and the lows, through the good times and the bad. She has known the heartache and pain of my imperfections. She has shared in the joys of our victories. You put all of that together and you have what we call a “marriage.” Proverbs 18:22 (NKJV) says, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord.” There is no doubt, that I found a good thing and definitely obtained favor from the Lord.
